It’s that time of the year again! No, I’m not talking about the hot Texas summer, although we are starting to feel that familiar heat a little bit. I’m talking about National Electrical Safety Month 2015, an electrical safety awareness campaign created by the Electrical Safety Foundation International (ESFI). At A#1 Air Electric, we’re proud to support this initiative every year, to help ESFI educate and spread helpful, life-saving tips to people of all ages.

This year’s theme is, “That Old House, This New Update,” which is an informative guide to help you figure out how safe your home is. As homes get older, it’s imperative to have electrical systems inspected and upgraded, when necessary. Of course, you can learn tips like this, and many more when you read through the campaign material, downloadable/viewable Electrical Safety Tips. To make electrical safety fun for your kids, check out these Electrical Safety Interactive Games for Kids to help them understand the concepts.

As I always say - Having your electrical system checked annually is a vital part of home ownership. Your electrical system is the backbone of each and every major system in your home. An electrical system that isn’t functioning properly can be responsible for the failure of your HVAC system, water heater, cooking appliances, security system, and possibly lead to safety hazards within the walls of your home.

Keep your family and home safe, by having your electrical system thoroughly inspected and updated to meet today’s safety standards. You can trust our electricians to take care of you, and ensure that you are safe and sound from electrical harm. Give A#1 Air Electric a call today!
